Honestly, I don't have any problem with Nicolas Jackson leaving Chelsea. That's just how football is sometimes. Aston Villa have completed the signing of Jackson from Chelsea in a deal worth up to £65 million, with £47.5 million guaranteed. For me, that's a good piece of business. Jackson definitely had some good moments in a Chelsea shirt. I liked his pace and the way he could stretch defenders. When he was confident, you could see the quality there. But let's also be honest. He could be frustrating to watch sometimes. There were games where I was sitting in front of my screen wondering what he was thinking. His finishing and decision-making were not always at the level Chelsea needed from their striker. So when I heard Villa were ready to pay a serious amount for him, my reaction was basically, “Okay, let's do it.” No drama. No hard feelings. I actually think Aston Villa could be a good place for Jackson. He already knows Unai Emery from their time at Villarreal, and with Ollie Watkins leaving for Al-Hilal, there should be a big opportunity waiting for him. Maybe Jackson will score plenty of goals at Villa. Maybe Emery will bring out another level in his game. If that happens, fair play to him. But I won't sit here worrying about what he might do after leaving Chelsea. I'm more interested in what Chelsea do next. The club needs to keep improving the squad, and if selling Jackson helps create room for another player who best fits the manager's plans, then I'm completely behind it. £47.5 million guaranteed is already a decent return, and if the deal reaches £65 million with the bonuses, even better. For me, this is simply a case of Chelsea getting good value from a player and moving forward. Jackson gets his fresh start. Chelsea get their money. Everybody moves on. Good luck at Villa, Jackson.
