Creating Beautiful Tie-Dye Patterns on Fabric

Happy new month lovelies.
I have always heard of tie and dye but never really understood how it was done, the only thing I knew was that you could dye a cloth to give you a different color, that was just the basic concept I had in mind.
In this post, I'd be sharing with you all how I turned a plain fabric into something more beautiful.
Tie and Dye just like the name implies; it is when you fold and tie a fabric to a desired pattern and apply the dye to the folded and tied fabric to give a beautiful design.
There are different methods of doing tie and dye which are: 1. Tie and dye by immersion
2. Tie and dye by Application
In this post, I will only discuss one of the methods, that is, tie and dye by immersion.
PROCEDURES 1. FOLDING: once you have your cotton fabric, it must be 100% cotton fabric. Fold it to a desired pattern.
2. Tie the fabric with a robe or rubber band, tie it firmly.
3. Prepare your bath. To prepare a bath, get a plastic container, put in your dye stuff(color), caustic soda, sodium hydrosulphite and add warm water to the mixture. Stir it continuously and then add cold water in the right proportion with the chemicals.
PRECAUTION: please use your nose mask and gloves as the bath will produce an awful smell because of the sodium hydrosulphite. And be careful so the dye won't stain your dress.
4. Soak the tied fabric in the dye and allow it for about 30 minutes
5. Using clean water, wash and rinse off the excess dye
6. Dry the fabric, once it's dried, the design will come up clearly and beautiful.
After all these procedures, your fabric is ready and can be sewn.
