Disfrutar de un gusto en familia siempre será la mejor opción. Salir a comer algo —por más pequeño o sencillo que sea— es algo que realmente se llega a amar. Me he dado cuenta de que crear momentos únicos y cambiar de ambiente, así sea por unos minutos, hace un bien enorme.
En general, las vacaciones del venezolano muchas veces se pasan en encierro, por lo que de un tiempo para acá, y no solo en vacaciones, he tratado de salir más. Para lograrlo, he estado buscando mejorar mis finanzas y así permitirnos este tipo de salidas. Al final, estando en familia no hay pérdida por ningún lado.
Mi núcleo familiar es bastante pequeño; somos solo tres «niñas»: mi madre, mi hija y yo. Así que andamos muy felices juntas. Ese día probamos un café llamado «bombón», pero era extremadamente dulce para nuestro gusto, por lo que no lo volveríamos a pedir. Lo acompañamos con un cheesecake de fresa o cereza y unas galletas que estaban súper buenas. Por su parte, para mi hija pedimos una limonada después de que se comiera un helado de yogurt. Evidentemente, la limonada no le gustó del todo, ya que en los locales suelen licuar el limón con todo y concha, lo que le deja un sabor bastante más ácido y amargo de lo normal.
A pesar de ese detalle, fue un día súper lindo para mí. Me llena muchísimo haber podido compartir con mi madre y con mi hija, y sin duda es algo que iremos haciendo cada vez más seguido. ¡Les mando un abrazo enorme y muchas gracias!

Sharing a treat with family will always be the best choice. Going out to grab a bite—no matter how small or simple—is something you really come to love. I’ve realized that creating unique moments and getting a change of scenery, even if only for a few minutes, does a world of good. In general, a Venezuelan's vacation is often spent indoors, so for a while now—and not just during holidays—I’ve been trying to go out more. To make this possible, I've been working on improving my finances so we can afford these types of outings. In the end, when you're with family, it's always a win.
My family unit is quite small; we are basically just three "girls": my mother, my daughter, and myself. So we are always very happy together. That day, we tried a coffee called bombón, but it was far too sweet for our taste, so it's definitely not something we would order again. We paired it with a strawberry or cherry cheesecake and some cookies that were really delicious. As for my daughter, we got her a lemonade after she had a yogurt ice cream. Naturally, she didn't enjoy the lemonade much, since places usually blend the lemon whole with the peel, leaving a much more sour and bitter taste than usual.
Despite that little detail, it was a truly wonderful day for me. It fills my heart to have been able to share this time with my mother and daughter, and it’s undoubtedly something we will be doing much more often. Sending a huge hug and thank you so much!
