Hanging out with good friends will always be the best plan, and in my case, I’m lucky enough that both my mother and this friend are part of my emergency group, my lifeline. They are the kind of women and friends who won't let you stay down or sink into a depression, because honestly, it’s impossible when you’re around them. Sincerely, they are very special people, and you can't imagine how grateful I feel that my mom and I can share the same space; maybe not in the exact same way, but feeling completely comfortable. Having this third friend, who is much more outgoing than I am, turns out to be great for both of us.
Every time we are with her, both of us make up our minds to have a great time, regardless of anything or any eventuality, because it is a unique and unrepeatable moment. In the end, what we take with us is the way we decide to live our lives and handle things; material possessions are left behind. That is why I am a firm believer that the friends we choose to have in our lives must be 100% genuine—nothing done halfway and nothing driven by self-interest.
So anyway, here we are at a supermarket called Castaño, buying food to make simple things. That’s why we decided to buy cheese pastelitos and, on top of that, a bottle of sangria. By the way, sangria used to agree with me amazingly well, and the next day I would wake up as if nothing had happened; but right now, sangria is one of the drinks I can tolerate the least, since the next morning I wake up feeling terrible and overall uncomfortable.
Well, now we are exploring the world of alcohol to see what options suit us better, although if we’re honest, we don’t really need much alcohol when it comes to having fun and laughing when we are together.
