Yes, just as you can see on the cover and in the title of this post, I recently received a notification that I had reached my two-year mark on this platform. I found this incredible; I can hardly believe so much time has passed since my eldest daughter set up my account and I began creating content. I realize that for those who have been on the blockchain for years, two years might not seem like much, but it is significant for someone like me who never imagined doing something like this in my life. I have always been someone who is wary of technology—honestly, because I get frustrated easily—but seeing my daughters convince my wife to join, and watching her start creating content without any issues, made me realize that I could contribute something too.
>Sí, así como lo pueden leer en la portada y en el título de esta publicación, recientemente recibí la notificación de que estaba cumpliendo dos años en esta plataforma, esto me pareció increíble, no puedo creer que haya pasado tanto tiempo desde que mi hija mayor me abrió mi cuenta y yo empecé a generar contenido. Entiendo que para todos aquellos que ya tienen muchos años dentro de la blockchain dos años no sea mucho pero lo es para alguien como yo que jamás pensó en hacer algo así en la vida. Siempre he sido un hombre muy cerrado en cuanto a tecnología se refiere y la verdad se debe a que me frustro rápido, pero ver que mis hijas lograron convencer a mi esposa y que ella empezó a generar su contenido sin problemas me hizo reflexionar acerca de que yo también podía aportar algo.
I won't deny that it was a bit overwhelming at first; my daughters guided me through everything—from how to structure the post (deciding which idea to present first) to the layout—but nowadays I feel comfortable handling the coding that used to seem so complicated. Of course, I have my own methods—heh—one of which makes my family laugh but works best for me: I usually develop my post ideas on paper first—in a notebook I keep—and then, once I’m happy with the result, I transfer everything to a Word document on my computer (if I’m using the desktop) to avoid losing my progress in a power outage, before finally moving it all to my blog.
>No les voy a negar que al inicio fue un poco abrumador, mis hijas me guiaban en todo, desde como armar el post (que idea poner primero) hasta como maquetarlo, pero ya hoy en día me siento cómodo manejando esos códigos que antes me parecían muy complicados. Claro, yo tengo mis métodos jeje, uno que hace reír a mi familia pero que a mi me resulta más cómodo, y es que normalmente yo desarrollo las ideas de mis post en físico, osea, en un cuaderno que tengo, y luego, cuando estoy satisfecho con el resultado paso todo a un documento world en la computadora (si estoy trabajando en la computadora de escritorio) pro temor a que se vaya la energía eléctrica y yo pierda mis progresos, y después paso todo a mi blog.
Over the past two years, I’ve had wonderful experiences here on Hive—experiences that only make me regret not having dared to open my account sooner. I’ve met people from all over the world, expressed my ideas, and shared my thoughts; I discovered that I could be a content creator, earned very useful rewards, and found out what I’m truly capable of. My favorite activities are the contests and initiatives; they always motivate and inspire me.
>A lo largo de estos dos años he vivido muy bonitas experiencias aquí en Hive que solo me han hecho arrepentirme del hecho de no haberme atrevido a abrir mi cuenta antes, he podido conocer personas de todas partes del mundo, he expresado mis ideas, e compartido inquietudes, descubrí que también podía formar parte de la creación de contenido, e ganado recompensas muy útiles y he descubierto de lo que soy capaz. Mis actividades favoritas son los concursos e iniciativas, estos siempre me motivan e inspiran.
