Mi visita a la ciudad de Puerto La Cruz fue una excelente oportunidad para volver a lugares conocidos y explorar zonas nuevas, incluido el muelle del Paseo Colón. Se trata de una pasarela de hormigón que se extiende a lo largo de una distancia considerable y ofrece vistas al inmenso mar; el muelle sirve de zona de atraque para embarcaciones y, cerca del dique de piedra, se pueden ver los pilotes de madera que las sostienen. Hacía mucho tiempo que no recorría esta zona, y el paseo me trajo hermosos recuerdos de cuando venía con amigos a disfrutar de la brisa marina y del precioso paisaje. My visit to the city of Puerto La Cruz was an excellent opportunity to revisit familiar spots and explore new areas—including the Paseo Colón pier. It is a concrete walkway stretching for quite a distance, offering a view of the vast sea; the pier serves as a docking area for boats, and near the rocky embankment, you can see the wooden pilings that support them. It had been a long time since I walked this area, and it brought back beautiful memories of coming here with friends to enjoy the sea breeze and the lovely scenery. Although some things have changed, the place retains its charm and offers beautiful views of the beach. As I walked, memories flooded back, and I watched birds flying near the pilings; these structures often serve as resting spots for birds, and this visit was no exception. To avoid disturbing them, I took photos from a distance, though I did manage to snap a picture of one bird that flew very close to me.
El muro de piedra cuenta también con escalones para acceder a las embarcaciones; desde esta zona, se pueden observar cangrejos correteando o descansando ocasionalmente. El paseo de piedra es ancho y seguro para caminar y contemplar el hermoso paisaje. Tras el paseo, me senté en una de las rocas para admirar los edificios, las aves en vuelo y las aguas turquesas. También hay dos casetas de seguridad para garantizar la protección de quienes transitan por la zona. Más allá del paseo de piedra se encuentra el aparcamiento y, justo al lado, vuelve a aparecer la playa. Las rocas están colocadas estratégicamente para permitir un recorrido seguro, sin riesgo de caídas. Cuando un ave pasó volando cerca, intenté quedarme quieto para tomarle una foto, y lo logré; parecía un pelícano que se dirigía hacia los pilotes para descansar o reunirse con sus compañeros alados. Fue un paseo relajante que me permitió recordar visitas anteriores y disfrutar de un paisaje impresionante. Gracias por acompañarme en esta aventura.
The stone wall also features steps for accessing the boats; from this area, you can watch crabs scuttling about or occasionally resting. The stone walkway is wide and safe for walking and taking in the beautiful scenery. After the walk, I sat on one of the rocks to gaze at the buildings, the birds in flight, and the turquoise water. There are also two security booths here to ensure the safety of those passing through. Beyond the stone walkway, there is a parking area, and right next to it, the beach comes into view again. The rocks are strategically placed to ensure a safe walk without the risk of falling. When a bird flew close by, I tried to stay still to snap a photo—and I succeeded; it looked like a pelican heading toward the pilings to rest or mingle with its feathered friends. It was a relaxing walk that let me reminisce about previous visits and enjoy the stunning landscape. Thanks for joining me on this adventure.
