Today's post is going to take you on a virtual tour with stops at glaciers in Alaska, a mountain trail in Norway, and a winery in Mexico. Our winners today 🥇 Up Close with Glaciers in Prince William Sound, Alaska by @dtam In the afternoon I took out a group of kayakers to the face of Chenega Glacier. This is a massive tidewater glacier, coming all the way down to the ocean, that dumps an incredible amount of ice into the fjord. It constantly calved while we paddled in front of it. It saved the biggest for last, giving us a big farewell as we pulled anchor and headed out for some evening cruising. The landscapes here in coastal Alaska are just amazing. Even if we didn't have harbor seals and otters and bears and eagles, it would still be worth it. Waterfalls tumble down thousands of feet from the cliff walls, while sea caves sit waiting to be explored by kayak. This post on Worldmappin - This user on Worldmappin 🥈 The Child Wanders Trail - Norway by @digi-me There are several alternative routes, but the most important one is the one that runs from Kvinesdal in the west to Grimstad in the east. The total length is 136 kilometers, divided into 7 stages and marked with signs or a blue marks on poles or rocks. My friend and I completed the second half of section 4 in the beginning of August. We started where we ended - Høye. We had walked approx. 10-11 kilometers (1/3) – Laudal to Nodeland (31 kilometers). This meant we had to be prepared for a 20 kilometer hike. The trail took us through forests, passed lakes, moores and farmland. It was a sunny day, but not too hot. That's also why most people travel, to experience new things, new cultures, new food, and new ways of living. The pace of life was also very different, you could see the people here were just chilling their afternoon on a weekend, enjoying good food and wine. That's something uncommon in our fast pace of life these days.
