Greetings @family&Friends community…

About two weeks ago, my nephew had his first-grade graduation ceremony. I hadn't shared it because I had a little accident, and with the power outages, I hadn't really sat down to write a post. But here's the whole story of that wonderful day. I hadn't planned on going, since besides work, I had to take care of my mom, but the power went out (which prevented me from working, and my boss also had something else to take care of), and my sister said it would only be a moment, that I should just pop in.

So I ended up going, and my aunt could keep an eye on my mom for a while; anyway, after a little photo session—something that's been hard to do well with my nephew lately—we headed to school. Plus, I had to help my sister with the graduation caps I made for my nephew and two other kids.

Like any good Venezuelan, many arrived after the agreed-upon time, which meant the event started almost an hour late. But the important thing was keeping the children still, since it had rained the night before and everything was muddy, and of course, being little, they wouldn't stay still. The sad thing is that one little boy, who had been given white shoes, started walking in the mud. They managed to clean them with a wipe, although it was a bit sad to see those poor, pristine shoes.

The event was generally nice; the children received many small gifts. However, there was a lot of talking, and the children started to get bored—so much so that one was already falling asleep. When they realized this, they quickly started handing out the remaining items and speeding things up. Surprisingly, my nephew behaved well and kept his graduation cap until the very end. I was amazed; he listened to me and told me not to damage it. He was the only one who kept it until the event was over. Most of the children were bothered by it and took theirs away, while others damaged theirs.

My nephew was happier about the presents than the event itself, hahaha, but oh well, they're little, they only half understand what it means, or well, my nephew is also a bit resistant to certain things. Personally, I'm very happy about this new stage for him and that he continues to enjoy his classmates and his school; that's all I ask, besides good health.
