What kept me watching the story is the fact that it's actually set in modern times, and you want to know why these people chose to live that way and why his sister became the way she did. Basically, it's the secrets, the moments of tension and uncertainty that keep you reading. Plus, I found the action scenes to be quite good and fluid. The characters are well-developed, and Yuru isn't the kind of protagonist who's easily manipulated or swayed by morality. He knows the difference between right and wrong, but if his life or the lives of his loved ones are in danger, he's not afraid to point a gun and kill whoever is in his way.

I also like that, because we have that moral ambiguity, there isn't a completely pure side: the clans, the villagers, and the antagonists themselves all operate in a very realistic gray area. The characters' motivations are often driven by trauma, duty, or survival, which generates extremely complex interactions and unpredictable dynamics.

I feel the story handles the theme of duality very well; it's everywhere: in the twins, in the tsugai and the humans, in the village and the modern city, in truth and lies... It offers a subtle critique of how institutions and families manipulate new generations under the guise of "protection."
