Bitcoin is moving again.
And this time...
The move is too large to ignore.
BTC has climbed above $77,000 — a level the market hasn't touched in over three months.
Bitcoin is up roughly 24% over the past week.
The broader crypto market is also recovering, with total market cap back near $2.7 trillion, up about 7.5% in a day.
But the most interesting part...
Is not simply that Bitcoin is going up.
It is what this move could mean...
For the rest of the crypto market.
Especially...
Altcoins.
And eventually...
Meme coins.
---
Bitcoin Has Taken The Lead
The crypto market has suddenly shifted.
Bitcoin is leading the recovery.
Ethereum is moving higher — up nearly 28% over the past week.
Several major altcoins are following.
XRP and Solana have shown strong momentum.
And speculative assets are beginning to wake up.
But this doesn't automatically mean...
Altcoin Season has arrived.
That distinction is extremely important.
The Altcoin Season Index currently sits at just 39 — still well below the commonly used 75 threshold.
That means the market is improving...
But broad altcoin dominance is not confirmed yet.

Why Is Bitcoin Moving So Fast?
There isn't just one reason.
Several forces are coming together.
First, the macro backdrop shifted.
The U.S. Treasury announced it will at least double the size of its liquidity-support buyback operations in longer-dated Treasuries.
That eases conditions at the long end of the yield curve...
And gives risk assets more room to run.
Second, the regulatory mood turned positive.
The SEC proposed a new framework — "Regulation Crypto Assets" — that could open the door to crypto offerings tied to investment contracts.
And a White House meeting between the President and major crypto executives added momentum behind the Clarity Act.
Those catalysts triggered an immediate relief rally.
And that rally set off a massive short squeeze.
Around $2.75 billion in Bitcoin shorts were liquidated on Wednesday, followed by another $783 million (mostly shorts) in the following 24 hours.
When short sellers are forced to close...
They have to buy.
Those forced purchases create more upward pressure.
