Participando por primera vez en la ruta de "La Perla 5k" [ESP-ENG]

¡Hey! ¿Cómo están, amigos de Hiverun? Espero que todos estén muy bien. Hoy, por primera vez, participé en mi primer evento running organizado por los chicos de "La Perla Run" un grupo de runners que organizan eventos alrededor del país, y llegó el turno de la ciudad de Maracay. Yo no me sentía tan bien de salud, tenía una alergia y aún falta recuperación del tobillo izquierdo, muchachos; sin embargo, decidí arriesgarme porque no sabía hasta cuándo harían otro aquí, jaja.
Hey! How are you all doing, Hiverun friends? I hope you’re all doing really well. Today, for the first time, I took part in my first running event organised by the lads from ‘La Perla Run’ – a group of runners who organise events across the country – and it was Maracay’s turn. I wasn’t feeling too well – I had an allergy and my left ankle still isn’t fully recovered, lads – but I decided to take the risk because I didn’t know when they’d be holding another one here, haha.

Era una ruta de 5k; sin embargo, era de subida y bajada, no fue algo fácil, además de que no estoy corriendo tan a menudo para evitar sobrecargar la lesión y poder recuperarme al 100%. El ambiente se sintió increíble, fue muchísima gente, de varias partes del país. Uno de Caracas, Valencia, Miranda, entre otros estados para venir a participar; además, era un evento gratuito, no se podía desaprovechar la oportunidad. Me pone muy feliz la cantidad de gente que llega para beneficiar su salud o ya sea para pasar un buen rato en familia o con amigos.
It was a 5k route; however, it was uphill and downhill, so it wasn’t exactly easy, especially as I’m not running that often to avoid putting too much strain on my injury and to ensure I recover fully. The atmosphere was incredible; there were loads of people from all over the country. People had come from Caracas, Valencia, Miranda and other states to take part; what’s more, as it was a free event, it was an opportunity not to be missed. It makes me really happy to see so many people turning up, whether to improve their health or simply to have a good time with family or friends.

Honestamente, yo fui solo, no tuve ni compañera runner, ni compañeros, ni nada, jaja. Sí me sentí solo en este evento; sin embargo me quedé y participé para ver qué tal la experiencia. Me gustó mucho; la carrera la hice en un tiempo de 37 minutos, un ritmo muy suave, primero para evitar una recaída de la lesión del tobillo, segundo por el malestar, no quería forzar tanto mi cuerpo, quería correr y disfrutar un domingo runner diferente.
To be honest, I went on my own – I didn’t have a running partner, or any mates, or anything, haha. I did feel a bit lonely at this event; however, I stayed and took part to see what the experience was like. I really enjoyed it; I completed the race in 37 minutes, at a very gentle pace – firstly to avoid aggravating my ankle injury, and secondly because I wasn’t feeling well; I didn’t want to push my body too hard, I just wanted to run and enjoy a different sort of Sunday run.
