Garden Guide
We had a thunderstorm a few days ago, and the trees and my garden plants were okay, but the mountain is still dry. I don't hear water flowing in the creeks near my house. Shockingly, the spring near my house completely stopped flowing for a few days... I'm worried about it. The dry weather and mountain fires are very serious issues in the summer.
When the weather is dry, some fruits actually do very well, such as grapes. Last year was very dry, but my grapes were very sweet and tasty. I think this year's grapes will be tasty as well.
Here is my dog, who is my garden guide. He knows almost everything about our garden. As soon as I touch the back door to go into the backyard, my little forest at home, he tries to guide me.
He wants to show me the snap peas, potatoes, grapevines, blackberries, and blueberries. He quickly goes up the steps like this to show me the backyard.
The blackberries are doing okay this year. Last year wasn't very good, unfortunately. Blackberry bushes are growing all over my property, and the sunny spots are the best places for berries. The birds look so happy in these bushes. My dog eats berries with me here.
After we spend some time by the blackberry bushes, he guides me to cooler spots. He knows that the blueberry patch is just beyond this path.
He likes to cross the little bridge to get to the patch. He carefully checks the surroundings as he guides me. This path is so cool and refreshing under the trees.
Before we reach the blueberry patch, there is an apple tree. I think it's producing some nice apples this year so far.
Unfortunately, I skipped trimming the blueberry bushes last winter, so they didn't produce many berries this summer. Yes... That's my fault, but I didn't have enough energy to do it last year.
Last summer and autumn were so busy and chaotic because of the dried-up old well on our property. Having a new deep well drilled was so tough... Finally, when we got the new well, it was already autumn, and we were completely exhausted. I didn't have much energy left to take care of my garden.
I hope I can trim the blueberry bushes this year. đŋđĢ
